The Breakdown of Beyoncé’s latest Album
Over the weekend the Beehive was buzzing, because the queen dropped her latest album Lemonade. I am the first to admit Beyoncé is a goddess who is flawless. She is a badass bitch who exudes confidence and I am a firm believer in the saying always be yourself unless you can be Beyoncé always be Beyoncé. To many her life appears to be perfect, she has the adoring husband making them appear to the public as the ultimate power couple and pop royalty, and to top it all of she is slaying the mom game with her little princess Blue Ivy. I experienced the enthusiasm and magical experience of the Mrs. Carter world tour, and I always thought of Jay and Bey as the shining example of relationship goals. Together they had built this amazing empire and adorable little family, so when I saw the E update flash across my phone this weekend I felt nothing but excitement. The queen is back and I was eager to see what she had created for her fans this time. The time got away from me and it wasn’t until this morning that I started to really understand the message of the album. As I was groggy eyed this morning watching my daily fix of Cosmo and People Snapchat news I suddenly realized that Lemonade was far more than just another chart topping album, but rather this was a public letter letting the world know that Jay-Z was unfaithful. This startling revelation immediately pulled me out of my slumber and I started to do some research. Even people who seem to have it all together can get cheated on. This harsh reality made me realize that no one is immune from the horrors of cheating. In her album she calls out her husband for his infidelity it is a shining example of how she can take a bad situation and rise above it. She created an album that would allow her listeners to go through the emotional journey with her, experiencing everything from anger to sadness to forgiveness. This is proof that when life gives you lemons you make lemonade or a chart topping, Internet breaking album. There has been a significant amount of backlash surrounding the woman Bey called out as “Becky with the good hair.” Fashion designer Rachel Roy brought the wrath of the Bee Hive upon herself after posting a cryptic Instagram about having good hair. After enduring the attacks from the Bee Hive, Roy made a statement saying that she was not “Becky with the good hair” and that she viewed marriage as sacred. The Bee Hive then changed focus to Rita Ora who tweeted a picture of her in a lemon bikini wearing a gold J necklace. Ora claims that she is not “Becky with the good hair” however there are still many skeptics. While the search for “Becky with the good hair” is still on, Bey can sit back and enjoy her lemonade.
